Delphi 6 Personal Edition Download

Hi all.Months ago, Borland offered their excellent Delphi 6 Personal edition free for download at their US Borland website. It is no longer available, as newer versions have appeared, and a change in policy is now in place. But, the Borland Polish website still offers this free version ( in English ):The tools I have made for FS have been made using this free version.

Commercial applications cannot be made, but freeware programs can be shared without restriction. If you are interested in programmming for Flight Simulator this is a great deal. Delphi 6 code can be made as console or Windows win32 apps. The code is compiled as machine language and requires no runtime dlls.

It's execution speed is basically the same as ML or C+ code.A version of Delphi 2005 is rumored to soon be available as a CD attached to magazines throughout the world. Although this version would be geared towards the slower interpreted.NET evnvironment, it should still have the option to compile to win32 machine code.A sensible path might be to download and try the Delphi 6 version while it is still available, then try the newer Delphi 2005 Personal if it becomes available. Surah muzammil pdf in one page. I have read the Delphi 2005 Personal will be a crippled version, but that may not effect FS usage.

Delphi 6 Personal was crippled to disallow database interaction ( although 3rd party freeware addons have added back this capability ).Delphi 6 applications will run on Windows 98, 2000, XP and XP64 ( using win32 environment ). If you are starting to program, or are comfortable with the Pascal language, and do not require commercial programming, this is a very good opportunity. The US Borland website will still be place to get the free registration code, and Delphi 6 bug fixes ( upgrades ), after you download the free Version 6 from the Polish site.Dick.

Since you posted here.have Borland fixed the bug yet, whereby ActiveX controls which imported fine in Delphi 5, no longer work in Delphi 6? I post this here, since anyone on this forum looking at Delphi will inevitably want to import and use their myriad control toolsets which they currently happily use in VB6. I was not happy to see all the posts about ActiveX controls being broken in Delphi 6.and am waiting to see whether their is an aknowledged fix before continuing my investigations.
