The makers of these obnoxious serials should have a look at this list and understand what trash content they are offering to their audiences.
Hip Hip Hurray. One of the popular series of the 90’, Hip Hip Hurray revolved around the lives of school going teenagers who are on the path to identify themselves. It touched on the young generation’s quest for love, success and freedom and how they juggled between dating and exams, tackled strict parents and teachers. The first season of this series was so successful that the 2 nd season was launched in the year 2001. Dekh Bhai Dekh It brought some great stars on the same platform to offer a good time to the audience. The five sisters with diverse personalities gave this series a perfect combination of entertainment and freshness. Be it Sweety’s childishness or Kajal’s tomboyish attitude, the geek Radhika or the feminist Meeakshi, each character was a treat to watch. Not to forget the dead wife speaking from the portrait and giving opinions to the husband. This serial was a huge success and contributed in making Zee channel a watchable channel.
Sea Hawks Starring some of the noted actors such as R.Madhavan, Anup Soni, Om Puri, Milind Soman, Nikki Aneja, this serial gave audiences a completely unique story line set up on an equally unique stage, Navy. Directed by Anubhan Sinha, the serial showed some unique underwater sequences and showcased the complex emotions of the coastguards. Swabhimaan Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, Swabhimaan had some of the acclaimed stars of the TV industry, who carved a name for themselves in the silver screen as well. Scripted by Shobha De, the story revolved around the pretty Svetlana, who fights odds and struggles for survival. Starring Rohit Roy, Kitu Gidwani, Anju Mahendaru, this TV series was the first of its type to see 500 episodes.
Shanti Another woman centric serial, Shanti is considered a classic and has even gained a cult status. The main lead, played by Mandira Bedi, sets off on a journey to discover the dark secrets buried in the Shanti Mansion. The groundbreaking acting made it all the more interesting to watch and wait desperately for the outcome in the next episodes.

Madhavan is an Indian actor, writer, film producer and television host. Madhavan has received a Filmfare Award, an award from the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards alongside recognition and nominations from other organisations. He has been described as one of the few actors in India who is able to achieve pan-Indian appeal, appearing in films from seven different languages. Madhavan began his acting career with television guest appearances, including a role on the Zee TV prime-time soap opera Banegi Apni Baat in 1996. After appearing in commercials and in small roles, he later gained recognition as the husband going through the traumas of his marriage in Mani Ratnam's successful romantic film Alaipayuthey (2000).
Madhavan soon developed an image as a romantic hero with notable roles in two of 2001's biggest grossers, Gautham Menon's directorial debut Minnale and Madras Talkies' Dumm Dumm Dumm. He worked with Ratnam again in the critically acclaimed 2002 film Kannathil Muthamittal playing the father of an adopted girl, whilst he enjoyed commercial success with his role in Linguswamy's action film, Run (2002).
